F2 Sprint Race 2 on at Bahrain. Just starting now.

Lol Tictum spins at T1. Full SC deployed. Robert Shwartzman will be a DNF

First time I have seen the Aston Martin SC in action.

Well that wasnt a bad race..... we had a few incidents and a couple of SCs plus VSCs.
So a few DNFs but it gave Aussie current F3 champion Oscar Piastri the chance to take his first F2 race win in only his second start.

Feature race tomorrow.

Warm up lap underway for the F2 Feature race.
Tyres will come into play here with different strategies for the longer race.

Jeez its very dusty on track.

SC deployed already on Lap 1/32. A couple of cars did not make it round the opening lap. Looks like Shwartzman got into the back of someone under brakes and that started a clash of two other cars. Shwartzman under investigation as he seems to have continued untroubled whereas the two he pushed together are both out.

Piastri up to third on the restart behind Lundgaard and Drugovich. Shwartzman get a drive through.

Great racing going on. Hope the F1 guys are watching and taking notes..

This is quite fappy.

Piastri and Armstrong got a bit of help from a VSC changing to a full SC, but Piastri takes the lead on the restart with a brave round the outside move.

Ultimately Piastri will be totally screwed by that SC.

Another example of useless marshaling. Why wouldn't they move a car - under flags let alone a VSC - that wasn't damaged?

Whoops I blinked.... Verschoor now in the lead. Few penalties being thrown about for restart naughties.

Going to be a bit of those now on soft rubber trying to make them last over those on hard looking to pick up at the end as the soft runners slow.

Ticktum is a dick. Piastri out of the race . Bit of a 50/50 maybe but bottom line is Piastri is out.
