.... and Jack Doohan, who qualified middle of the pack will be starting (this race) near the front.... :sarcasm:
Hauger seems to be quite handy and maybe a name for the future. Im trying to think of other Norwegian circuit racers, and Huysman is about the only one that springs to mind. Im sure some of our Scandy fellow members will right me on that....

I can't believe they invert at 12th place. It's such a reward for mediocrity.

I know I've said it before. But goddamn.

F3 race 1 starting now.

Go Hauger. That Novalak/Nanini move had tears written all over it.

Great action packed second F3 race. Hauger great again up from 14th to a.podium finish but Arthur Leclerc climbed 20 odd places from the rear of grid..

So just one race, the feature, tomorrow, and they will all start from where they qualified. :haha:

!! drivers hit with Race 1 penalties

Hauger was not one of them, but Logan Sargeant lost his podium from this morning’s first sprint race, dropping from third to P15, as ten other drivers were also handed penalties. Multiple track limit violations seem to be the issue.

Sargeant and second placed Olli Caldwell (Prema) were handed five second penalties for leaving the track at Turn 9 and Turn 10 four times without justifiable reason.

Caldwell keeps his place, but Sargeant drops out of the points after the time is added.

Victor Martins received the same penalty for the same reason, dropping him from fourth to fifth in the final classification.

Caio Collet and Amaury Cordeel received 10-second penalties for leaving the track at the same turns, five times.

The former had finished sixth and now classifies P17, while Cordeel, who had finished P21 for Campos Racing, is now 22nd.

Ayuma Iwasa was disqualified after failing to come into the pits after receiving a black and orange flag and carried on to finish the race in ninth place.
Jak Crawford (Hitech Grand Prix) was handed a 5-second penalty for exceeding track limits to gain an advantage over ART Grand Prix’s Alexander Smolyar.

The latter had earlier received the same time penalty for doing the same thing to Crawford. The American rookie had finished fifth and Smolyar 10th, but they now classify P8 and P14, respectively.

Matteo Nannini was hit with a 30-second penalty for leaving the track at Turns 9 and Turn 10, nine times. The HWA Racelab driver had finished P9, but has fallen to P23.

Filip Ugran is also amongst the list of drivers to have left the track at the same turns, having done so ten times and receiving a 30-second penalty, dropping him to P24.

Calan Williams (Jenzer Motorsport) was handed a five-second penalty, dropping him to P16, after he made contact with Trident’s David Schumacher at the exit of Turn 4.

Clement Novalak, who was leading the race, was hit with a three-place grid drop for making contact with Matteo Nannini while the two fought for the lead, allowing Hauger through to the lead. Novalak was found predominantly to blame for the collision and had to start from P30 in Race 2.

F3 feature race about to start.... with "the Monster" Hauger on pole. Can he be beaten from that position?
Formation lap underway.

No sign of any rain but the track is cooler than yesterday.
