Piastri now leads Zhou by 40 points. I think by finishing 9th in race 1 gives him (Piastri) a race 2 front row start. (top 10 finishers of race 1 are reversed I think.) And he has pole for race 3 from qualy.

Doohan finished 11th and kept his nose clean.

It seems there has been a change.... Someone got a post race penalty (maybe Daruvula) and it droed his position to 10th and boosted Piastri to 7th..... so Daruvula gets a penalty and with it inherits pole, whilst Piastri gets bumped to 3rd. It also affected the title points and Shwartzman now has jumped ahead of Zhou (142) to second with 143 points so Piastri now leads by Shwartzman by 39 not Zhou by 40.

Piastri now with a 47-point lead, ahead of Shwartzman. 57 points ahead of Zhou. 61 to Ticktum.

From what I can gather there are still some 92 points left to play for in the remaining four races + pole + fastest laps.

The F2 Feature race has been delayed for an undetermined time to effect "Major track repairs" being undertaken.

Does not bode well for the GP starting anything like on time.

OK that was officially weird. The SC just led the F2 field around the la in reverse direction and returned them to pit lane entering the wrong way??

It looks like things are progressing. Mind you I cant see it going full distance so we might get the feature race (with compulsory pit stop and the need to use 2 compounds might be shorter than the no pit stop Sprint races.

OK cars off everywhere and we have a red flag after a hundred metres. Looks like someone stalled on the grid and not everyone saw them. Some others went of at T1 in sympathy.
