That was a very bad stage for Finland. Grönholm with no brakes, Latvala got stuck again, Suninen's now out of the podium battle for sure. Lappi might get 3rd, but it is very tight there.

For anyone interested in seeing yesterdays highlights Red Bull TV have an excellent highlights section (much better than WRC!) with a section on Colin's Crest.

There is also a link from the above page to the power stage when available. (12:50 local time)

Seems it is a bit warm and the snow is very slushy this year. Certainly the roads look borderline muddy.

Tanak won at a canter.... Lappi finished second after a four-way fight for the remaining podium places. The second place contestants began the stage split by less than 10 seconds. Lappi edged Thierry Neuville’s Hyundai i20 by 3.0sec.

Tänak also won the final Power Stage to claim five bonus points. He said he wasnt taking any risks, but was in a good rhythm! Neuville took four points for second with Elfyn Evans, scoring three in third. Sébastien Ogier, in a Citroën C3, and Lappi took two and one point respectively.

Tanak leads the championship from Neuville by 7 points

Lol, yes, good point..... Petter Solberg back in 2003 being the last. Long time between drinks.
It certainly does not look like Ogier's year for sure, and Loeb is only part time I think. We need change, be it also the first Estonian WRC Champ or the first Belgian I dont mind. Tänak was sublime in the final power stage for the bonus points. Especially given the lead he had and he still won (the PS) by over 3 seconds

WRC Rallye Corsica

Evans was unlucky not to win in Corsica over the weekend, taking an eleven second lead into the final stage, before suffering a puncture and dropping to third overall.

Neuville, who had been a close challenger all rally, leading at times, picked up the win, from a recovering Ogier. Dani Sordo took fourth , despite final day brake problems, fending off Teemu Suninen by 6.2sec.

Ott Tänak completed the top six, unable to recover from yesterday afternoon’s puncture which cost the lead and a potential second victory of the season.

Esapekka Lappi and Sébastien Loeb were seventh and eighth, with Kris Meeke and Jari-Matti Latvala completing the leaderboard.

It is quite tight at the top of the championship now, with Neville Ogier and Tanak all covered by 5 points, and with Hyundai now leading the manufacturers.
