Damn! I went a good number of times as a kid and included a stunning collection of machinery. Who else has visited?

Very sad. I never got to see it. I remember it opening but I recall it being fairly small in the early days back in the seventies. It only really grew in size after I moved to Aus IIRC.

I checked to go. It is doable, but from what I understand, the restaurant and gift shop have already closed.
Worse still, numerous cars have already been taken away. I wonder where they will end up?

I think they were mostly owned by other collectors, and have been returned to their owners. Wheatcroft sold many of his collection a few years ago.
The collection now consists mostly of Tanks and war vehicles. Kevin (son of Tom) Wheatcroft has an unhealthy interest in (particularly German) Tanks and armoured vehicles and has a very large collection of them on display.
