Yes. And it was great to see Jean and Nelson Sr. together watching their sons races.

Norris totally fucked it up yesterday. He started like a turtle and at the pit stop, after tryin to stop in another driver pit, he restarted too early before his front right was locked.

Hehehe. I stand by my "not ready for F1 yet" label I have given him.

Mick Schumacher wins Euro F3 Title.

Mick Schumacher has won the FIA Formula 3 European Championship with a race to spare at the Hockenheimring, despite only finishing 12th in Race 1 of the weekend after contact with Kiwi team-mate Marcus Armstrong.

However, a second placing in Race 2 as Daniel Ticktum finished seventh put the championship beyond doubt.

The achievement comes after Schumacher was winless in the first 14 of 30 races this season.
“Of course, I am really happy with my title win,” he said.

“I can hardly describe what a beautiful feeling it is to be doing something that you love really well.

“However, I also have a great team around me that is giving me the best conditions, enabling me to concentrate on what is important. I reckon that that is one of the keys to success.

“Moreover, we never gave up this season and have always tried to improve further. We never stopped working on ourselves.”
Not sure what this result will do for Ticktums prospects.... there was a time when he seemed to be the RBR driver of thee future, but a lack of potential Superlicence points following his previous 12 month ban had scubbered chances of that, and he was declined the chance to test by the FIA. There was talk of him doing something in Asia to try and garner the necessary points but I have not heard much of that thought lately. The reduction in points for what has been a bit of a meltdown in the Euro F3 series after a strong start obviously wont be of any help in his pursuit.

As for Mick Schumachers future there will now no doubt be all sorts of hype as to where next, F1 future etc etc, and I heard of his plan being to progress up the ladder to F2 next year rather than making a jump into an already crowded with juniors F1 field.

A shame his Father wont know much about it or have been able to enjoy his eldest's progress. :sorrow:

Mick doesn't have it. Putting it out there now.

The improvement has been odd.

Given what he had done previously, I'd agree.

Yes it seems mighty odd that a car that was way off the pace for the first half of the season suddenly one weekend became the class of the field and a rocket ship for the rest of the year, setting poles and winning at will when the driver did not have a fail.

What was equally suspicious was that it wasn’t only Schumacher but also one (just one) of his team mates whose form suddenly improved also. Both Mick and Schwartzman had been next to nowhere the suddenly were 1-2 at every race. And Prema have 4 cars and the other 2 cars didn’t improve, which was also strange as one of them was challenging for the title in the first half of the season.
