A pity for his talent (probably not deserving of F1, but good enough for a long career in motorsport).
But entirely deserved to be kicked out.

Red Bull terminate Vips test and reserve F1 driver contract.
An update on the situation with Vips and his future within Red Bull....Red Bull initially suspended Vips from its junior programme as a result of the incident,
Just last month, Vips had drivenSergio Perez’s RB18 for FP1 at the Spanish GP.“Following its investigation into an online incident involving Juri Vips, Oracle Red Bull Racing has terminated Juri’s contract as its test and reserve driver,” the Austrian drinks company announced.
“The team do not condone any form of racism.”
However, he will continue to compete in the FIA F2 Championship,
Hitech has announced i “Juri Vips to complete his F2 season with Hitech, providing him with the opportunity to redeem himself.”
Team boss Oliver Oakes said the matter had been debated, but it was decided that the 21-year-old should be given a chance to learn from his mistake, and that the loss of his Red Bull programme was “a deservedly severe punishment.”
I have to admit I am a little confused.
Hitech run Juri with sponsorship and livery for Red Bull. Given Hitech are going to continue to run Juri in F2, will he continue to drive a Red Bull liveried car, or will it be with alternative sponsorship?
Hitech statement from Team Boss Oliver Oakes:
Formula 2 clearly dont agree with the Hitech move, and they also have made a statement.“I have made the decision for Juri to keep his F2 seat with Hitech for the remainder of the season, a decision we have seriously debated.
“Allowing him, to complete his season with Hitech is an opportunity for him to demonstrate, through his actions, the type of person he is. “I have made it clear that I think the language used was totally unacceptable, but I choose to give him the chance to redeem himself.
“Hitech GP employs an inclusive work force and has never condoned racism or offensive behaviour in any forms.
“That said, if we live in a society where no one can make a mistake, then genuinely apologise, have the chance for redemption and learn from it – what does it say about society?
“What I do know is that having his contract terminated by Red Bull as a result of his actions is a crushing experience for him, a deservedly severe punishment.
“The reality is there will not be unanimous agreement whether that punishment is sufficient, and that is totally understandable.
“My own view is that no apologies or words alone are enough to mend the damage done.
“By allowing him to keep racing with Hitech, we are giving Juri the opportunity to demonstrate genuine and sincere remorse for his future actions.
“He must now grasp every opportunity to do so. He needs to make lasting changes and not just short-term virtue-signalling comments.
“While this may not satisfy everyone, I believe we all deserve a second chance in life, but never a third.
As to my own confusion over whether he will continue to race for Hitech is a Red Bull liveried car (and wearing RB overalls) I guess we will know very soon.... F2 is on the support bill at Silverstone this weekend.A statement from the championship read, “Following the recent incident with Juri Vips, F2 would like to reaffirm that the use of racist of discriminatory language cannot be tolerated in any environment.
“Hitech Grand Prix’s decision today is surprising and not one we would have taken.
“We will monitor the situation carefully with them to ensure that such behaviour is properly addressed.”

Start aborted as one of the cars was unable to run at speed and was crawling round to try and return to the pits.
Others are on an extra formation lap now.
Track is dry at the moment
Slow car is now back in pitlane so we should be able to get the show on the road.

Doohan wins his first F2 race
Jack Doohan has claimed his first F2 race win in drying conditions in Silverstone.
After nursing his tyres in the opening laps, he soon moved from third to first, quickly building a decisive 4 second advantage.
He then withstood intense pressure from the hard charging Ayumu Iwasa, having seemingly saved his tyres for a final push, for Jack to take the chequered flag by less than a second after 20 laps of racing. It was certainly a tense last lap, with Iwasa taking over a second out of Doohan in the early part of the lap. Isawa took fastest lap in his chase of Doohan.
Fittipaldi completed the podium. Theo Pourchaire finished fourth ahead of points leader Drugovich.
Feature race is tonight (19:05 Aus Eastern). Doohan will start 7th.
As an aside Doohan let on that he had a 'secret' run in last years Alpine F1 car at Monza leading up to Silverstone, sharing a day with Oscar Piastri. The session was Jacks first in the F1 car and was just an 'acclimatisation' session. Monza apparently chosen because of its high speeds with some slow corners requiring heavy braking as being a good venue to show the major differences of F2 > F1..

Some dreadful commentating and TV direction in the F2 sprint race. They didn't realise Doohan was in the lead for a lap!
But yay for the win!

Lap 2 and our friend Nissany is involved in a get together with Hauger. Another win for the halo as cars were launched and Hauger was on top of Nissany for a while.

Halo's impact has been over-stated a few times.
But that would certainly been helmet contact.

Dreadful pit stop for Doohan, running long and pitted from the lead to end up rejoining down in 12th.

Nissany handed five-place grid drop for Hauger crash at Silverstone
Roy Nissany has been handed a five-place grid drop for the next FIA Formula 2 race after being found wholly responsible for causing a collision with Dennis Hauger in Sunday’s race at Silverstone.
The FIA said Nissany “fully accepted blame” for the incident and was “wholly responsible.”
He was handed three penalty points, bringing his total for the season so far to six. 12 points result in a race ban.
The FIA said:
Nissany, also served a penalty this last weekend for an incident he caused at the last round in Baku.“Having considered the matter extensively, the Stewards determined that Car 16 left the track at Turn 15 after making an error.
“The Driver rejoined the course at the exit of the corner and rather than focusing on a safe merge into traffic, made an unpredictable and unsafe move to defend his position that initiated the contact with Car 1.
“Car 16 was wholly responsible for the collision and fully accepted blame for the incident.”
He was handed a three-place grid drop for Saturday’s sprint race for causing a collision with Cem Bolukbasi.
Where is Anne Robertson to say "Roy Nissany, you are the weakest link.... GOOD BYE."

Just to mention we have both F2 and F3 on the card at Austria this weekend.
In fact F3 is out qualifying now and F2 follow them out prior to F1 qualy. Both sessions just half an hour each.
