Dunno, haven't heard it

But Limp Bizkit's version of Behind Blue Eyes is just so terrible and depressing. That is why I "hate" them. Not because they covered a Who-song. Do it good, and you've just done it. Just don't make it pisspoor and promote the hell out of it.

98% of covers are always CRAP!

Gary Jules' cover of "Mad World" is among the exceptions.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers live version of The Byrds' So you want to be a rock & roll star is great. Not really the same style, which I think is necessary to do if you're doing a cover to make it special.

It may sound silly, but in school once there was a group that made a pretty different version of AC/DC's TNT. Totally acoustic. My sister played cello on that one

Guns 'n' Roses - Knocking On Heaven's Door (far, far, far better than the original, IMO)

Fight From The Inside, (originally by Queen) covered by Jack Blades, Jake E. Lee, Tony Levin and Tony Thompson for the Stone Cold Queen covers album. futuretiger9 will know that one and you can hear a preview of it here:

I hate the way Axl Rose moans during the chorus. The original is far, far, far better.
I prefer the original version of both Knockin' on Heaven's door and All Along the Watchtower.
