Led Zep seem to have been covered by many in these pages... another one to add to the list.

David Garrett the violinist, plays his rendition of Kashmir:

I think I have posted 'other' covers of Golden Brown before but not this one.

Sounds like it should be the original.... but its not. In fact Im not sure, but I think it is a myth, or a recreation by a Laurence Mason, in the style of Dave Brubeck.
Whatever a worthy version. Very clever . And I love Dave Brubeck.

'Dave Brubeck,' Golden Brown

Amazing cover I thought.
Its obviously been around a bit (well over 48million hits) but I have never seen / heard it before.

Interested in what @PTRACER thinks of it.
Sorry if it has already been Posted here. Could not find it in search

Marc Martel is the leader of Queen Extravaganza, which is a tribute band hand picked by Queen themselves. I remember they dropped a lot of their multitracks on the web about 15 years ago and asked people to fill in the missing instruments with their own playing. The best musicians got to be in this band!

Of course I practicised for the piano player's job but I don't think I was the right choice :haha:

Talking of fun versions, I see as some of the blurb going around regarding William Shatner (Star Trek) finally getting to go into space for real was an ironic and seemingly relevant fun cover he once did.....

Goosebumps when Brian and Roger join in. Anyway, I don't think Marc Martel can be remotely compared to Freddie, both stage presence and voice, though he's good. I love female voices standing in for Freddie, such as Julia Ivanova. Her YouTube channel has some awesome covers such as "Hallelujah" (Leonard Cohen) or "The winner takes it all" (ABBA). BTW I've always wondered how Freddie would have performed "The winner takes it all" with his range.

@PTRACER , you're not half bad! :twothumbs:

Rocket Man
Captain Kirk as a singer is so bad he's awesome. He's underrated. I saw him a couple of days ago on "Murdoch Mysteries" playing Mark Twain: he was really good, understated and heartfelt. I saw him in person at a convention a few years ago and he was magnetic. I confess I was moved by his recent trip into space.
