Rush, ever since I stumbled upon them some 20 years ago have been my favorite band. No matter the mood, you could listen to them. This week drummer and lyricist Neil Peart passed away from a brain tumor. I'm at a loss for words at the moment. I just woke up to these heart breaking news and in no form to write an obituary. So I'll leave that to those who can instead:

RIP Neil. Fuck Cancer.

RIP. Rush is my dad's all time favourite band too, haven't spoken to him about this yet though.

The best rock drummer ever.
He had a tough life. Daughter killed in a car accident, wife lost to cancer, now Neil. For someone who had such great talent (and constantly worked on self improvement) I do not understand why he was meant to suffer. I hope he is re-united with his family and making new rock epics with the other greats we have lost.
