Synthesizers and 1980s songs

#1

Post by PTRACER »

As I've bought a 1988 Korg M1 just the other day and haven't stopped playing with it, I think a thread is needed

I've been asked to join an 80s band already and I'm creating various presets to replicate famous sounds. It's not at all easy to recreate sounds on this synth which were made by an entirely different piece of technology.

Does anyone have any songwriting tips for writing synth parts?

When playing the intro of "Here i go again", try to give the chords more time. You give the intro a bit too much pace.
