You cant mention the current FIA GT3 cars without a special mention for this wonderful bit of kit from Bentley.

Can't believe that is from nearly 20 years ago. It looks timeless. Contemporary almost. Love it.

I have never been fond of that era of sports cars. I prefer this, from the mid-80's:

I sort of agree.... Every era has its moment of racing porn, with even the current era of wind tunnel honed aero efficient shapes comes up with one that looks more stunning than the average. But in general, I have always thought that the cars of the sixties were pure unadulterated XXX auto porn. The seventies were in turn very close, but the eighties on it has (with notable exceptions) in general become more ugly, or less beautiful. Looking at the current stuff and it all looks less attractive but with a clonelike look of increased efficiency. As new technology becomes available and is faster, everyone plays follow the leader and produce more clones to the point of being the same base and the actual look now being based on the livery and sponsor advertising than the shape/design of the raw car..Cheeveer wrote:I have never been fond of that era of sports cars. Hopefully that makes sense in terms of what I mean.
It is after lunch on Friday here and I feel impaired.

I always loved the 1992 DTM Mercedes 190E, especially in the Berlin 2000 and Diebels Alt liveries

I always preferred the Merc in the grey & black Sonax livery, myself...kals wrote:I always loved the 1992 DTM Mercedes 190E, especially in the Berlin 2000 and Diebels Alt liveries
A nice looking car, although I wouldn't rate it among the most beautiful.
Speaking of DTM cars, I always liked the Calibra, especially in the black Cliff livery. And not just because it was driven by JJ Lehto...
