Bottom post of the previous page:

I'd probably go with Spa, old and new, Imola and Suzuka.

There are many amazing tracks in the world. Interlagos is incredible: it's fun to drive, it creates great racing (even in F1!), has tons of elevation changes, tons of history and always a great atmosphere. Bahrain is one of the best "new generation" racetracks, it has amazing flow and never fails to provide great races. Le Mans is legendary, and it deserves every bit of praise it gets. But to me nothing comes close to the Nordschleife, I've driven (virtually) hundreds, maybe thousands of laps on this 20km monster and I can never get tired of it, it's just perfect, it doesn't matter the car you're driving

It has lasted longer than most Hermann Tilke circuits, I will give it that.

Better than Abore Dhabi for sure. As Kimi said of AD, the first couple of corners are fun/ok, the rest is shit.
And we never get a good race there.

I guess AD is the equivalent in circuits to a pay driver..... Latifi for instance aint that flash as a driver but pays lots of quids to be part of F1. AD is the same.

The only highlight of Abu Dhabi for me is seeing what ridiculous name @John or you or @Cheeveer can come up with each year:

- The "97.8 Billion Barrels of Oil" Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi 2019
- The "What have we done to deserve this race?" GP of Dhabu Abi
- The 2017 Cameltoe Abu Dhabi GP
- 2015 Most Interesting Grand Prix @ Rich Man's Heaven

I will vote for a "was" rather than an "is". I'm contrary like that

Old time Nürburgring before they evened it out. Even better if combined with the Südschliefe.

I really like Mugello with its rolling hills and high speed corners. Shame that modern F1 machinery makes it a bit tricky to overtake on.

From the old circuits no longer in use for F1 I liked Watkins Glen the most. I never saw any racing there on TV but I always enjoyed it on F1 Challenge 99-02 with the 1976 mod installed.

From the current calendar, Interlagos is good because the cars tend to follow closely there with the way the corners are designed. It remains a very relevant track today. Spa is obviously fantastic but nowadays there is way too much runoff (pending 2022 modifications)

Not sure if I replied to this thread in one of the previous pages, but I've always felt the old Charade (Clermont Ferrand) circuit was the greatest in the world. It was incredibly challenging and relentless; like the Nordschleife but in a tighter and arguably even more dangerous package.

Since there's no period onboard footage, here's the next best thing:

@John, I remember tangling with you in an F3 at Charade. To this day I blame the physics boxes, and Australian dial-up internet.

But still - sorry.

Oh, he's giving it plenty of welly! Unlike most of the other Lap of the Gods stuff, where they usually only dilly-dally around.
