What is a weird fact you know about a racing driver? I'll start:

Stefan Johansson's favorite author is Ayn Rand.

He did come close in 1970.... he was entered in the March but I guess too close to Indy so he was a no show. And then they stopped running tthe GP at Spa in later years..

I thought maybe he had driven a Sports Car at Spa at the 1000klms in the late sixties but it seems not. Entered but DNA'd .

What a great (albeit anoraky!) bit of knowledge Thanks .

Red Farmer, who was recently inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, doesn't know for sure what his birth date is, most say it is October 15, 1932, however Farmer thinks he was born in 1928, his family was never given a birth certificate as they weren't mandatory back then.

I love that cos I remember where I was when he won all three. Being super pedantic though he won 1987 on a Sunday as mansell had qualified 7th, despite the crash, so he could have made a surprise appearance on the grid.
The board equivalent of the Jody scheckter chicane. Fast but pointless

If I remember correctly it would have been a hell of a surprise - wasn't he already on the way home by then?
