Voices of the greats
Some drivers don't seem real until you hear them speak.
This video has the only footage I have ever seen of early F1 champs Alberto Ascari and Guiseppe Farina actually speaking in an interview. Before Ascari is Luigi VIlloresi, who I have also never heard speaking before.
This is one of only two videos where I have seen Mike Hawthorn speak:
It's rare to hear Joakim Bonnier and Jo Siffert speak, and still somewhat rare to see Jim Clark in conversation.
Jo Schlesser. Interviewed from the cockpit of the car that he would die in a day later.
The voice of the very posh-sounding Piers Courage:

Wonderful!
In this video there is Ascari again and Piero Taruffi, both talking about Ferrari 1-2 in the 1951 Carrera Panamericana. For an Italian like me you can istantly say who was from Milan and who from Rome.
I have also an audio only file with a radio interview from the 1952 Indianapolis 500 with Ascari answering the questions of a very young Mike Bongiorno (who will become one of the most famous italian tv showman).

This video features a short bit of Bernd Rosemeyer being interviewed from around the 0.45 mark
Oh, and here is a short snippet of Rudolf Caracciola starting at about 23:10 into the video (recommend watching the whole thing as even though it's in German, which I don't speak, YouTube's auto-translated subtitles and the fantastic imagery make it a really interesting video)
Something a little more recent - here is Murray Walker chatting to Didier Pironi in the paddock at Hockenheim in 1983.
There's a good quality and lengthy interview with Lorenzo Bandini here, with good English subtitles for those not fluent in Italian. This video also has rather moving interviews with his sister and wife and, as warning, graphic footage of his fatal crash)

Bernd Rosemeyer seems like such an animated, interesting bloke.

He very much came across that way in both Ellie Beinhorn-Rosemeyer's and Chris Nixon's book on him and also Nixon's 'Racing the Silver Arrows'.
Both are unfortunately somewhat scare and (particularly in case with the latter) very expensive to get hold of now, but well worth it if you can track them down.

Great thread. Here we have Ray Harroun, the first Indianapolis 500 winner.

I first saw this video a few years ago. I thought it was pretty special then and I still do now. Most of the drivers from that era surely did not survive as long as he did.
A bit of a short one. Patrick Depailler's very short interview after the 1978 South African GP. There are other clips of him on YouTube, but he is dubbed into other languages so you can barely hear him speak. Ronnie Peterson was interviewed just beforehand so I thought I would start the clock there: https://youtu.be/ry6kDiX_AJU?t=594

Indeed an interesting thread..... great to hear the voices and get an insight into the driver's personalities.

This excellent season review for John Wyer Racing from 1970 contains a number of Pedro Rodriguez pieces to camera (in English!)
Such as 3:50 and and 9:45. It's quite scripted (as most things like this were back then) but still good to hear the guy. Siffert is also interviewed but he is badly over-dubbed (you do get a few snippets of him speaking in French in the background).

Oh, and speaking of Ellie Beinhorn-Rosemeyer earlier...
In this video at about 5:00, she and Hans Stuck Sr are briefly seen/heard reminiscing about the Auto Unions at some post-war point. Stuck is then interviewed and dubbed over but you can clearly hear him underneath. Ellie is then interviewed later at about the 10:50 mark.
Also at 21:55 is a dubbed interview with Rudi Hasse, but again you can clearly hear him underneath the dubbed voice.
