Favourite F1 Car of the 1960s [Results posted]
So, let's push this one over the finish line. 7 more days and we move onto the 1970s cars.
This is a very tough one, I know. For GPL lovers, we have so many to choose from, between the 1965 and 1969 seasons. There are also sometimes winged and non-winged variants of the same car.
Anyway, as with the 1950s Grand Prix car thread, there are no set rules. Just vote for the car you like the best.

That is a tough one indeed. I think I go for the Matra MS80 with the low wing

Yes, very difficult! First thought of the Lotus 18 for something from the very beginning of the decade, but then I went down the list... Oh, those Brabhams were all very nice, indeed... ah, the BRM P61 Mk2... oh, don't forget the Eagle... the Ferrari 312 nest-of-snake-exhausts... the Hondola!... what about another Lotus, the 25?... 49?... Matra!!... oh, and those lovely McLarens!!!
Can I please vote for all of them?
Can I please vote for all of them?

One way to increase participation in polls is to make the choices less appealing Paul.
Too many GPL memories to pick one for me, but I think it would have to come down to either the BT24, the Eagle or the RA300

Lotus 49 for me. Ever since as a lad I read Doug Nye's account of his restoration of chassis R3. Round about the same time I saw the BBC clip of the '67 Italian GP on their 'Grand Prix 500' programme and it just cemented what an amazing car the 49 was.

Beautiful car
@Michkov is correct, there are many options, making this very difficult to choose. I think if I had only listed two cars (E.g. Ferrari 312 and Lotus 49), it would be no less difficult.
I look at it this way - which car would I most like to drive? Which car would I most like to own, given the money? I wouldn't look any further than the Lotus 49.

I would then choose the BT24 Brabham. Quick at all tracks, easy to drive and very reliable.

I've put up the lone vote thus far for the BRM P83/P115 if only for its audacity.

joined you....if only for the H16 engine, and it was always my favourite team in the early days of my following F1. But it was really about an eight way tie for me.... the Matra, the Eagle, the 49, Brabhams, McLaren, Shark nose. Really difficult to highlight just one. What an era.Manfred Cubenoggin wrote: ↑3 years ago I've put up the lone vote thus far for the BRM P83/P115 if only for its audacity.

It's just so gorgeus looking thing.
