I believe it's from 1980 Indianapolis 500. The car in front is not a Lotus, it's a Penske driven by Mario Andretti and painted in the same Essex livery that was used by Lotus that year in F1. Mario, obviously, being the link between the two teams.

Yes, as stated above it is a Penske PC9, driven by Mario in many races of the 1980 season. He raced both CART and F1, crossing the Atlantic with the Concorde.

I used to (still do) think the Arrows A2 ground effects car was one of the most beautiful F1 cars ever. In all of the various forms, different rear wing etc.
