Which reminds me...

In China in 2004 or 2005, Ant Davidson used this for Friday back when 3rd drivers did practice.

It was 2004. Davidson ran a few unique liveries in Friday practice that year.

I remember when Simona de Silvestro tested a 2012 Sauber repainted blue and white.

Pictures always help with liveries.

It was 1978 at the year end North American GPs a (USA East/Watkins Glen and Canada/Montreal)
Tambay and Hunt's cars were both entered as Löwenbräu Team McLaren instead of the normal Marlboro Team McLaren

It came about because at the time Phillip Morris (Marlboro) were owners of Miller Brewing.... they were just launching their Löwenbräu brand in NA

First pictures are at the Glen......

Just for info to physically show a picture rather than just the link add image tags to either side of the link.
[. img]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bl--m-pIcAAxkf-.jpg[. /img] without the . space in the tag which was just to show how it should look..
The image tags appear on the top of the post reply box if you want. (not in quick reply.... you need to click the full editor /preview box from the quick reply area.)

Thank you.

This thread is also open to other Motorsport liveries besides F1:

Like Team Dynamics' original red and white livery in the 2004 British Touring Car Championship. (I know, I've mentioned this before)

Darrell Waltrip was going to run this at Darlington in 1998, until NASCAR forced him to change the number back to #17.

The proposed Repsol Prost livery for 2002 would have been awesome.

Who can forget the time Vauxhall painted Yvan Muller and Jason Plato's cars blue for the 2001 BTCC finale.

Kyle Busch was to make his NASCAR Cup series debut at Homestead in 2003, however the car was found to not fit NASCAR's body templates during pre race inspection and the car was immediately confiscated by NASCAR. It apparently still sits in the NASCAR R&D facility to this day.
In pre-event inspection Thursday at Homestead-Miami Speedway for Sunday's Ford 400, NASCAR took away Kyle Busch's No. 60 Chevrolet fielded by Hendrick Motorsports when "the car's body dimensions did not meet NASCAR specifications," according to Winston Cup director John Darby.

Thus, Kyle, 18, the brother of series regular Kurt Busch, will have to wait to make his Winston Cup debut until next season, as Hendrick Motorsports withdrew his entry after the confiscation. A statement from NASCAR said the discrepancy to the car was sizeable enough that "it could not be repaired at the racetrack in a timely and effective manner, necessitating that it be confiscated." A Hendrick Motorsports spokesperson said the improper dimension was the same "x-measurement" that Tony Stewart's Chevrolet failed earlier this season at Texas Motor Speedway, when his car was also confiscated.

The measurement is done from the base of the car's back window diagonally to the back corner of the rear fender. Hendrick Motorsports only brought one car for Busch and decided the effort to switch decals, seats and all the ancillary equipment necessary from another of Hendrick Motorsports' backup cars was not warranted simply to give Kyle Busch some seat time, Hendrick spokesman Chris Haid said.

Once again, previously mentioned but until now, no images.

Dome F1 launch in March 1996 with Keiji Matsumoto at the wheel. The car tested at Suzuka after the season final with Naoki Hattori at the wheel and the time was 7,3 secs. slower than Villeneuve's pole position.

Image

First Racing Judd that was supposed to debut in the 1989 F1 season (a design flaw meant only one chassis existed as the back-up was scraped and there was no time to build another one before the season opener in Brazil which resulted in Lamberto Leoni focusing back on F3000 and selling this chassis to what became Life F1 in 1990 - with dismal results).

Gabriele Tarquini at Bologna Motor Show in December 1988. The car was five secs slower than Alex Caffi's Dallara around the temporary 1.3 km track.

Image

The car has actually "raced" and there is footage of that
