Yeah pretty much. They're all impossibly slow on Lap 1 then suddenly pick up the pace again. So you'll make up 10 places then spend the rest of the race holding up the whole field, who will almost never try a move on you. Wet races are also broken so mod the game to make every race dry before you start a Career and you'll be fine.

So I'm about to do my first full race in GPL ever.

I decided to stream it live. I'm going to practice for a little first. I expect I will probably crash so if the stream is a little short...

Yeah I managed 10 laps before being rear ended by a Lotus 49 into the Parabolica! It's pathetic that the AI can brake at 75m and I have to brake at almost 200m

So for the hours following this fuck up I learned how to edit the AI and now they actually brake the same time, or earlier, than me. This means I can have fun outbraking them into Parabolica like in real life.

I ended up doing a 24 lap race without any incidents after that but it was 2am and I had to wake up for work at 6am so I turned off the PC and went to bed...

Now I need to start up my version of GPL again some time soon. The bug is back...

Edit: GPL still works, but iGor gets deleted instantly, so only offline races till I figure out what is wrong.

I'm actually working on updated AI for Monza. They no longer bum you in tight corners. They are too slow out of the corners though so I can easily overtake them on the straights. I need to fix that.

I think my antivirus keeps removing it for some reason. It didn't do it before. I just noticed I was missing a button in Gem and it turned out to be iGor.

Try whitelisting the whole folder where your GPL stuff is installed. AVs are getting a bit overeager with IGOR and GEM, because GEM is modifying exes everytime you load a mod and IGOR makes calls to GEM. So I suspect the AV sees it as a virus.
