Never heard of them or the Racing Legends concept but it seems like quite a project and a shame it never materialised for whatever reasons.
I wonder if they still have houses? :dunno:
Sounds like they bit off more than they could chew.

Saw that video too the other day (great account, btw sub if you haven't) and all the memories came rushing back. IIRC they also stopped mods for Nascar 2003 a while as they claimed the rights to the intellectual property of the N2003 engine or something like that.
2018 GTP Accuracy champion.

Yes! I do remember this. Oddly I still think about it from time to time.

I wonder whether there ever really was a game, or whether the whole thing was a lie. And if so, why bother? At RSC we kinda thought this would be like a Grand Prix Legends 2. And in my head, Racing Legends is still the best racing game ever waiting for release (even though in reality, the game now wouldn't be any better than rFactor 1). Weird how they managed to develop a cult following based on 3 or so low res renders.

Yep!

It's cool how the concept has been largely taken up by modern games though.

True. iRacing is pretty much the same as their "vision".

I found this old interview with Chris West online, because actually I always wondered whether "the West brothers" even existed. Seems they do!
