I have noticed that when racing on the default tracks after installing the NR05 update, You do need to bump the AI difficulty up a fair bit, otherwise they are horribly slow, I think this has something to do with increased drag levels for AI cars in the track.ini

It'll match the AI speed to yours, which is t really much use if you're on old tyres and the leader is on new ones and you're trying a goofy tyre strategy, as the leader will just slow down to your pace.
I am very sorry if you find my posts long and boring, I like to type and often go off on a tangent.

Maybe we can create an infinite amount of massive crashes from the 1990 Goody’s 300 using NR2003, turning the ai drag into negatives has spectacular consequences as you can see above.
