What is the classic content exactly ? I did think of buying though I don't think it's compatible with xb1 anyway

Classic content is like the Williams FW07 and the Ferrari F399 etc.

It sounds good, until you jump into the FW07 and lap the classic Brands Hatch GP circuit in 1 minute 2 seconds IN THE RAIN.

Was it really that bad? I remember throwing a 2013 F1 car around Brands and barely getting sub 1 minute times... Am I that slow?

Well it's 10 seconds faster than a DRY laptime.
