George now with a great drive is 23 points ahead of Lewis..
George made his own luck there.
I thought I had posted about what the issue was, but cant find it in the thread....Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑1 year ago Sergio is losing power but no reason. Lost 7 seconds to Sainz in a couple of laps.
Not Brundle's best grid walk. He did better with Meghan the Stallion.Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑1 year ago Zak Brown has just promised Mario Andretti a drive of a modern F1 car at COTA. Mario was saying on the grid to drive one is on his bucket list and Zak said lets do it.

Lol at Martin Brundle. He just had to ask a celebrity who they were and what their name was, with an I have no idea who you are whats your name!.
*Celebrity ego deflated**
Lol Brundle on his grid walk asking if anyone has seen any racing people for him to interview.
1) Agreed re Sainz
OK Official word is out. Re the track position it has been confirmed Max was past the point of being able to commit to pitlane. Leclerc is dubious he could have made pit lane, maybe at a pinch, but Sainz could have.Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑1 year ago1) Agreed re Sainz
2) I think I heard Horner say that they couldnt pit Max because he was already at / past pit entry when the SC was called. I guess the two Ferraris might have been in a similar position. Sergio was half a dozen seconds behind Sainz because of his hybrid / recovery sensor fault so was in the right place at the right time, but had an big gap on Bottas behind him so it was a total freebie to him in terms of track position.
If the Ferraris were not past the pit entry then certainly they shot themselves in the foot, especially as initially it was only a VSC not full SC so under VSC you dont have the field compression factor. You just get the bonus of less lost time because the field is running at reduced speed but with original traffic gaps.
