Honestly, despite Hamilton winning without any competition, the race was way better than I was expecting it to be.

The first few corners leant themselves well to side-by-side action and you could pass around the inside or the outside. There was quite a lot of excitement with punctures, trading fastest laps etc., which wouldn't seem as exciting on a rewatch, but as a live race...a 7/10

7/10.

There was some passing in Turn 1 and some battles outside of the Top 2. Better than I expected.

I would give it a 6, plus a bonus for the Fernando podium so yeah a 7. Better than I expected.

Retrospectively I wonder how much help the grid penalty was, transferring Max to the clean side of the track albeit a couple of rows further back. I dont think anyone starting on the dirty side was in a good position by the end of the first lap or two

5/10. Pretty dull race bar some side-by-side action and a few tyres going poof.

6. Kind of a fun race, even though nothing much was really going on among the top two cars. Driver of the day was definitely Alonso, who would have held third even without the VSC.

5. The track gave better racing than expected, but without DRS how do you think it'd be? Thought so...

At least punctures kept it interesting. Perez and Bottas were entertaining, though they kinda underperformed in the early laps.

I think 6 is pretty fair.

The second half of the race - apart from tyres popping - was dire. The first half was quite watchable (without being anything memorable).

All in all, I felt less violated than expected.

6. Not very interesting at the front, but good battles for 3rd place on down.

Not the most exciting race ever so I gave it a 6. The tyres giving way spiced things up a bit towards the end somewhat I suppose.

Yes, a 6 here too. New country and new track. Great to see Alonso take 3rd. Despite Hamilton and Verstappen running away with it, the trading of fastest laps kept some interest up.
