It starts on a bad foot with me due to the fact it is now after 6am and I know I will suffer later on for pulling an all nighter .

7 points here. This weekend Lewis was the top dog. Next weekend it could be someone else. Interlagos is an engine track. And it showed. Max did what he could to limit the damage. 5 points he lost of his lead.

7. Good race with a good dramatic fight for the lead. Not one of the great fights though, as one car was clearly faster than the other. Not much else going on. Good race from Gasly, Ocon and Alonso.

8. An actual pass for the lead always gets at least an 8 from me.
Unfortunately, there was not much coverage of the other battles (except in odd bits) to make this a more epic race. Perhaps there was not much other action and hence I could not rate it higher.
I did love the dice between them. Lewis had a faster car, but catching and passing are different things. We know that Mercedes is bad in turbulent air. So it was a great drive from him to get it all done. I love the set up he did starting at turn 1 forcing Max to go narrow and get a poor launch into Senna S's. That's what ultimately enabled Lewis to get by into 4.

I rated an 8/10, but it was very nearly a 9. Finally we get to see a proper battle for the lead between the two championship protagonists. It feels like a long time since we had one (usually the pass is over quickly or there's no real wheel-to-wheel action).
Looks like @Circuitmaster's fears didn't play out and we only got one person voting 1/10 lol

6 for me.
Important for the championship. But Lewis winning wasn't something in much doubt. Well driven by him in any case. Did exactly what he had to, and most of the other drivers wouldn't have been able to do it.

8 for me. Great race for the lead, despite Hamilton's advantage. 3rd changing positions. Some battles further down. Was let down slightly by Ferrari (and others) having a quiet and distant day.

I would have given it an 8 had Max somehow held on for longer. Maybe even a 9 if Max won and kept Lewis behind the entire race. Neither of these happened so I gave it a 7.
