It's creating unnecessary danger, for pit crews and on track, with fast cars up against slow cars. The speed differential between Hamilton pounding round and a Haas plodding towards the finish will be ridiculous

The biggest speed differential in the race will always be substantially less dangerous than those in qualifying, so as long as they allow qualifying in its current state to continue, I wouldn't bet on a change in fastest lap regulation (On that basis, anyway)

Ah, but unless you're Mazzypins you're actively trying to avoid other cars in quali.

I guess we'll have to wait for someone to come cropper, it's about time. Wheel gets stuck or flies off, whack into the back of two other cars racing etc etc
