Bottom post of the previous page:

Silverstone is the next race on the calendar. It will be the first race to feature the sprint qualifying format, which could make things interesting.
Mercedes have already confirmed they are bringing upgrades to that race. It is usually a Merc stranglehold so interesting to see if they still hold the advantage there, or whether Red Bull is faster there as well. If they are then it could be good night Mercedes (and Lewis) for 2021..

Eight drivers have been summoned by the stewards post race....
....fin addition to those investigated during the race. The latest batch are for allegedly not respecting double waved yellow flags following Raikkonen and Vettel’s late crash in the Austrian GP.

Perez, Sainz, Mazepin, Leclerc, Latifi, Giovinazzi, Daniny Ric and Gasly are all required to meet the stewards at 10-minute intervals between 17:50 and 19:00. Sounds like being told to go to the headmaster's study!.

It comes on top of post-race investigations for both Vettel and Raikkonen for the collision, as well as a second for Raikkonen for moving under braking.

George Russell is also under investigation for moving under braking during his late fight with Alonso for 10th place.

It means that of the 19 drivers that took the chequered flag, 10 of them are still under investigation, plus those that were put under investigation / given penalties during the race. Maybe leaves a handful of drivers not facing detention. :annoyed: Its ridiculous the amount of investigations going on.

He lost 30 points of downforce .... caused by him clattering over the kerbs too aggressively. AKA driver error. But good luck finding a Lewis fan calling driver error being the cause. It will be the car let him down.

Lewis makes a lot of mistakes under pressure considering he's the GOAT.

It's almost as if he's been driving at 98% for the last 3 seasons.

98% is pretty generous honestly. I think most drivers are well under 100 with the current tires, and LH has in recent years had to try less than anyone, IMO.

Well, yeah, I guess he's 95% and the rest are 97-99%.

So staying on the racing line while someone makes an ill advised move around the outside is now a penalty?

Ok

Does not apply to the exit of corners

7. Covers outside overtaking. Alongside is the greyest of grey areas. Lando for sure was not behind Perez, level at worst

As soon as rosberg found the right buttons to push he started wibbling. Unlike then though he's totally in Max's pocket already. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if he switches off and we get more results like today.

If I was him I'd try and make bottas look good so he gets kept on :haha:

Just assuming the outside car doesn't decide to take the inside car's shit and holds its line...

They crash.

So how would that not be the inside car's fault?

I don't think people gave Alonso as much respect as he deserved back then. Kimi coulda/shoulda won the 2005 title, and Schumi was an engine failure and puncture away from 2006. He looked lucky.

The famous "what if's". What if Massa had a good pitstop in Singapore 2008. He would had had a points finish. By how many points did Hamilton win his first title?

1 point.

And by how much did Alonso lose the 2010 and 2012 titles?

Those seasons were where he proved just how good he is, nearly winning a title with a weaker car through consistency and racecraft.

Hamilton and Vettel have never had those seasons. Alonso did. Schumacher did.

Okay, so I've just finished watching the race. Perez felt annoyed about that first lap incident with Norris and yet I don't actually thing Norris was in the wrong to be fair. Perez however was totally in the wrong when he shoved Leclerc off the track, not just once, but twice. What was he thinking? Was he even thinking at all?

Great drive by Lando Norris, he really is a good driver, even Lewis Hamilton said so and that did surprise me. Lando totally deserved his podium, as Max deserved the win. He never put a foot wrong and did what he needed to.

That incident at the end of the race, what was Kimi doing? He took out Vettel when he was clearly virtually by him and that was a real shame as far as I'm concerned. I like Kimi but to me that looked like brain fade or something. Silly Kimi!!

Those are my views anyhow for what they're worth. :)
