Tough choice, if he keeps losing like he did yesterday, probably Hamilton Or maybe that is wishful thinking. Vettel seems rejuvinated, great move on Ocon early in the race yesterday. He's having fun out there again. Alonso.... well he seems to be doing okay, I wonder whether he's glad he came back or not? I would say it's going to be close between Hamilton and Alonso on that.
I mean from age 3 (Alonso) and on, all these guys have ever done is race. They spend the first half of their life doing nothing but racing....so what do they do with their second half of their life? Show up to social events and sign autographs. That could get old quickly.
In Hamilton's case, as weird as he may be at times, at least we know he has a life outside of motorsports. I can see him having a purpose. And he has plenty of money, so he has the means to fund anything he wants to do.
I'd feel worse for some driver who only loves racing, but gets discarded after F2 or something, and they'd spent their entire lives until that point with only racing on their minds.

Yes, I think Hamilton will find something to do...perhaps political activism. I am not really sure I know who he is as a person. I am not sure he knows either.
Alonso? What does he do when he is not racing?
Vettel? Family man? Is he happy hanging out at home with wife and kids. Maybe.

This is kind of the problem with everyone who chases the dream doing something like athletics, or music... you kind of have to completely commit yourself to succeed... and then what do you do when you don't? It is the real downside of chasing dreams.

I think the majority of drivers find somewhere to race. Going back to say, the 2018 F2 entry list, there are only about 3 drivers who are not racing anything this year. Most are either in F1 or still in F2, at least 3 or 4 are in Formula E, 1 in IndyCars and the rest are in sportscars. The Japanese drivers are back in Japan racing in Japanese series. There is life after F2.

Doesn't Alonso also have his own fashion thing with Kimoa? So he's got some business interests. And I remember something to do with UNICEF.
As for Vettel, no idea.

I agree that most drivers continue to race somewhere, and I bet they love the driving - whether that's in an F1 car or in a Fiat 500. But for huge amounts of them they don't earn a living from that seat time alone. They have to hustle with driver coaching. They have side-gigs or simply have other full time jobs that just aren't the same thing, and they end up living their own version of the daily grind because the didn't end up living the dream.

I believe Trulli always had a vineyard but I'm sure now he spends even more time in it.
And yes it's true... most drivers keep on racing and doing other stuff like Le Mans - just look at the list of drivers there. Fisichella hasn't stopped for example. Indycar is fast approaching 20% of former F1 drivers too. Formula E also.
Lewis is a bit of a safety freak so I doubt he'd go race in any series that's more dangerous than F1.
I think he'd do well as an ambassador to electric cars, reducing global reliance on fossil fuels and that kind of stuff.

Jarno's Grandfather was a winemaker. Jarno, his Father and Jarno's Business Manager (whose family also have a winemaking history) bought the winery c. 2000 and completely updated it.
ISTR going to a Toyota function once when they were in F1 at AGp time when Trulli wines were served.
I know it used to be available to buy here as well. Not sure if it still is.
