Why didn't they try to get FL with Perez? Chumpy
The board equivalent of the Jody scheckter chicane. Fast but pointless

Well done Max!!! First Monaco victory, first Monaco podium and the world championship lead for him and Red Bull!
Let's hope this is the start of a turnaround for RBR and the downturn of Mercedes!

Lewis will be pissed.... started 7th and finished 7th despite two ahead of him dropping out.
On the other hand Perez will be very happy to have jumped from 9th to 4th.

.... and the points position now...
1. Max VERSTAPPEN 105
2. Lewis HAMILTON 101
3. Lando NORRIS 56
4. Valtteri BOTTAS 47
5. Sergio PEREZ 44
6. Charles LECLERC 40
7. Carlos SAINZ 38
8. Daniel RICCIARDO 24
9. Pierre GASLY 16
10. Esteban OCON 12
Max jumps Lewis for the lead and Norris jumps Bottas for 3rd. Cracks in the Mercedes domination?
Doubt it as Monaco was always going to be a Red Bull chance.

Not a single yellow flag is a first for Monaco....

I wondered about that too.
Anyway, Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren on the podium. Would never have expected that this season.

Congratulation to Max Verstappen. I am delighted with Vettel's P5. It was time to get some balm on his soul, and I am hoping he will continue to get all out of that car. Alonso might have some thoughts about decision to come back. Hamilton suddenly looks very plain in that car. Maybe he will try to sack Torger.

Well, that was particularly processional. I saw one on-track pass after the first lap (Schumacher over Mazepin). Not only did they not pass each other, they never even tried. The only driver who looked like he was actually trying to race was Giovinazzi.
Anyhow:
1. Good work and pit strategy for Perez, Vettel and Stroll.
2. Very mediocre drive from Hamilton.
3. Good job of Norris to hang on to third.
4. I did not see who won driver of the day again, probably should be Verstappen, Perez or Norris.
5. Nice to see Sainz and Norris joking around in the post-race interviews.
6. Highlight of the race: Serena Williams standing next to Max Verstappen.
Anyhow, I gather Red Bull has one more Bendy Wing race and then we will see where they really stand.
