So, F1 just posted on social media that Miami is confirmed on a 10 year deal to race around the Dolphins Arena.

Starting next year. Meh.

This could get better with BangBros involvement.

The layout itself looked quite fun and fast, but I guess it depends if it's just painted white lines on a flat car park.

Martin: "Yes, and here it comes. Lovely behind the shoulder in-car shot of Bernd Mayländer working the wheel of the Bang Bus hard."

Croft: "Fun fact, Martin. We can't show you the reverse view behind Bernd. I believe they're filming some sort of documentary this weekend."

I wonder what the date will be? No way they put F1 during the NFL season so probably a double-header with Canadian GP?

I would make sense.

Btw, all the corners are actually corner-shaped. Did someone ask Tilke to put his ruler down for this one?

What's the length for this as well? The pit straight in comparison to the stadium looks rather short.

I imagine it's anticlockwise. Turns 1, 2 and 3 are very Interlagos.

Yes anticlockwise (there are two little arrows pointing the direction right next to the chequered bit at the start / finish line opposite the pits)

Been a while since F1 last raced around an US parking lot!

The layout is 5.41Km. They are considering 3 DRS zones (meh). Potential top speed at the end of the straight is 320Km/Hr.
And technically it's not a parking lot. But it reminds me of Sochi (see pic in the attached article). They have potential to make it great, or they have the potential to make it the US Sochi race.
