Guess the Pole 2021 - Imola (Round 2) [+Results]

The San Marino Grand Prix on the Imola track has been notorious for many reasons. Some great wins during the 80's and 90's stamped the authority of champions like Prost, Senna, and Schumacher. It also showed the strength of some emergent teams that challenged for the championship all year. However, it is also a track where it is notoriously hard to pass. Therefore the pole position is the best possible way to challenge for the win. So with that in mind, will the teams sacrifice optimum strategy for track position? Will Mercedes bring updates to match or surpass the fast RedBull chassis? All will be revealed during qualifying!

Take your best stab at the pole time at the link below!

Just into P2 now and they are doing 15.5s already. And that on medium tyres. :whistling:

If I was a betting man.....
I would be doing a Queensland rain dance if I were you.

On that note the forecast threat of rain at Imola is diminishing.

It-sa Meeeeee!

This week's winner is XcraigX with a time 0.033 seconds away from Lewis Hamilton's pole time of 1:14.411! I just had a feeling about that time and I'm glad it payed off!
The full results and points payoff is below:

Code: Select all

Pts	Error	Guess	Player
10	00.033	1:14.444	xcraigx
6	00.037	1:14.448	Mikosyko
4	00.208	1:14.203	Minardi
3	00.289	1:14.700	Picci
2	00.297	1:14.114	John
1	00.400	1:14.811	MonteCristo
0	00.412	1:13.999	Mawerick
0	00.452	1:14.863	Antonov
======================================================================
In the fight for the Accuracy Championship, Mikosyko stays on top with a nice 2nd place today. (And my poor showing last race relegates me to last even with the win this week! :annoyed: )

Code: Select all

Accuracy	Player
00.715	Mikosyko
01.338	Antonov
01.476	MonteCristo
01.507	Picci
01.514	John
01.547	Mawerick
01.580	xcraigx
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The fight for the Points Championship looks similar with Mikosyko out front ahead of XcraigX:

Code: Select all

Pts	Player
16	Mikosyko
10	xcraigx
6	Antonov
5	MonteCristo
4	Minardi
3	Picci
3	Megallos
3	John
2	Mawerick
0	TomDA
0	ErwinGreven
The Portuguese GP is in 2 weeks so look out for the new thread next week!

Thanks everyone for playing!

It would help me al lot of I could put a guess in a bit earlier, preferably one or two days after the previous GP. Is this possible?

You can enter a guess for each round of the season right now if you choose. Just select the correct race from the dropdown.
