I agree. By the way, tourists are only allowed in Dubai, while Abu Dhabi is 'closed off'.

Just days ago, Dubai was taken off the list of destinations the UK considers safe.

I understand Dubai is a destination people flock to to escape lockdown measures. The resulting ignorant conduct starts to show.

The last time I was really badly ill was after a trip to Dubai in 2018. Fortunately no covid back then, but a nasty strain - that's for sure. Took me about 10 days to get better.

The company i work for has a subsidiary in dubai. They are not in lockdown as in last spring

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has become the latest senior figure in Formula 1 to test positive for Covid-19.

Toto confirmed to Austrian broadcaster ORF yesterday he had contracted the virus but has already completed his quarantine period following the diagnosis. He is said to have had “the mildest of symptoms”.

So Lewis and Toto from Mercedes, but apparently six other Mercedes staff also tested positive ahead of the Eifel Grand Prix at the Nurburgring last October.
