Imagine Lewis et al jumping out of the car during pit stops, jacking up the car all by themselves and grabbing the hand gun... I bet that would stop this pit stop nonsense once and for all! :twothumbs:
That would be awesome :). Tbf it seems to happen in the new extreme e series
The board equivalent of the Jody scheckter chicane. Fast but pointless

Well, I always felt they should restrict the crew allowed “over the wall” to six. This would be safer and slow down the pit stops.

Hand gun? What is this, America?
Use spinners to hold the wheels on and give him a hammer.
(Add some meaning to the "OK Lewis its Hammer-time" statement we hear.) :haha:

That is even more retro than my ban wings suggestion. Might make it worthwhile to bring a riding mechanic along though.

Good suggestions, all, I can see we're making progress! :D

What about spare wheels carried with the cars; if they're going to change the wheels all by themselves, there's no need to crawl back to the pits in case they puncture halfway through the lap = lots of precious time saved!!

Sadly with the driver coaching over the radio, they pretty much already have somebody on hand to fix most of life's problems!
