Sadly i'll never match your level of anti-transgender social commentary:
I don't know why this bothers me so.....I can't decide which lavatory to use today, the men's or the women's.......

Hamilton wins Laureus award for 'social activism'
I guess that Social Activism means 'Best and most styling kneeling of the year'.
No, seriously for a moment....
He has done other things other than the kneeling and the BLM Tshirts that have become his public signature device.
Back in June, he established the Hamilton Commission, to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) studies and eventual F1 employment for black youth.
The award came with the oh so politically correct statement from Lewis.....
Its not the first time he has been up for or won a Laureus 'gong'. He won the Breakthrough Award in 2008 after his rookie Formula 1 season with McLaren, and shared the Sportsman of the Year Award last year with FC Barcelona football player Lionel Messi.
Hamilton was also nominated last year for the 2020 Sportsman of the Year title, which went to tennis player Rafael Nadal after winning a record-equalling 20th Grand Slam title in taking out the French Open for a 13th time.
As an aside his team, Mercedes-AMG F1 Team, was nominated for World Team of the Year, .... they missed out though as the award went to German and European club football (soccer) champions Bayern Munich.
All we need now is for some openly gay driver to do the same for their faction, and for women to get the opportunity to do their bit to increase equality and equal opportunity for all. We are getting there with the female racers getting exposure (am I allowed to even say that?) via support events to GPs. Maybe one day it will happen in the middle east.
For the time being it seems F1 continue to chase the $$$ and promote events in countries that are so anti equality in minority groups, and indeed are publicly discriminating in vile ways against such groups.

I know we all take the mickey out of his antics, but it is great that he is using his profile, and some of his money, to promote betterment for those of colour and of diminished opportunities and that must be applauded.“A huge thank you to the Laureus World Sports Academy for presenting me with this incredible award,” said the 36-year-old during the digital prizegiving ceremony.
“This past year has been incredibly difficult for so many, but it has also been heartening to see the power of our collective voices spark new conversations and change.
“The impact of each and every one of you who have stood up, is so inspiring, so I want to thank you. Please keep fighting, keep shining your light.
“The global rising to address the longstanding issue of systemic racism and inequality in our society has been monumental, but we must continue to fight.
“We must all see ourselves as responsible for making positive change in our world, and hold ourselves accountable, so that the promises of last year turn in to action.
“I truly believe that together, we will get there, and so I stand with you as we push forwards. I’m sending you all love and positivity, stay safe. Thank you.

I see Lewis is patting himself on the back in a story online..... proud of how he has avoided any on track contact with Max.
He seems to have conveniently forgotten about Imola for one where he made contact, clattered across the kerbs shedding bits of nose cone, damaging his car and very much came off second best.
He said it with a bit of a smarmy im better than Max (which he undoubtedly is ) sort of look at my stats v his sort of way, and stating that he himself has nothing to prove whereas Max does.

“I think I’ve done well, to avoid all the incidents so far,” Hamilton said in response to his battles with Verstappen in 2021.
“We’ve got 19 more to go and we could connect. Hopefully not.
“I think the good thing is there is a nice balanced amount of respect, I think between us.
“I think perhaps he feels he has a lot to prove, I’m not necessarily in the same boat there.
“I’m more long term, kind of [like] ‘it’s a marathon, not a sprint’ sort of mentality, which is ultimately why I have the stats that I have.

Max knew he had to score big whilst he could. The Merc has already outdeveloped the Bull, and the title is gone.

They were both bad. Lewis was ordinary all weekend, but Mercedes were also dreadful.... with their attempted undercut strategy that cost Lewis 3 or 4 places and then their inability to get a wheel spinner off Bottas car leading to hs retirement. The spinner jammed and then the wheel gun destroyed all the hexagon edges on the spinner. Oh and the spinner jammed in the first place because one of the crew crossed the thread putting the wheel spinner on.
Just sayin......

Mercedes weren't bad. Bottas was second his entire race, and attempting to undercut Max for the lead when he came in.
It's not being bad that caused a failure, which could have happened anywhere.
It was St Lewis, the GrEaTeSt EvAr!! who was simply not at the races today.
