To let it perform conform to the expectation, they lower the car, with the result that the drivers experience excessive porpoising.
What's this talk of waiting for Silverstone? Are they changing to the MK1?

Hamilton won't just be a producer in the F1 film. Today was his acting debut.

Hamilton might sit out the CAN race, said Wolff. Poor thing is in pain.

Was talking to @LoudHoward last night during the race, and he said we just need Zhou to beat Bottas now, and we'll see that Hamilton just lucked his way into six titles, lol.

Old man Hamilton. Looked like me Monday morning after nursing the kids for the weekend! :haha:

According to one hammy boy on Autosport, "this was one of the few weekends where Russell clearly outperformed Hamilton" - I kid you not!

I wonder whether it has to do with the "red button" they talk about on the telly. Maybe, if you press that, you enter an Alternate Reality?

"It's quite clear at this stage that Lewis is out there testing experimental parts and setups and Russell is driving an optimised car. Russell is building confidence and consistency whilst Lewis is trying to figure out how to get this car back on the winning track." - yikes!

The funny thing is that actually, this is the one weekend where you can say Lewis was definitely screwed over by the VSC double stack and losing places during the pitstops, and it wasn't as clear as the 20 second gap looked.

Do not agree. Russell was long gone before Hamilton reached his box (11 seconds at the first stop, 30 seconds the next), it did not impact his stops. https://www.formula1.com/en/results.htm ... mmary.html

Hamilton did drive well, controlled aggression, but he was losing a lot of time to Russell. Half a second per lap over the race, which is perhaps even flattering, because at times Russell was as many seconds clear as laps were driven. George was in nomansland most of the time, no need to hurry or rush, so the gap came down when Lewis piled it on, but once he had finally cleared Gasly and was running 4th behind Russell, he still lost half a second per lap: he was 22 seconds behind on lap 44, nearly 26 by the end.

Lewis should cut all those earrings and metals off to lighten his weight. It will definitely help his backache.
Or it's just Father time catching up ?

Lewis can wear whatever he wants in his private life. He's 37, he's not old, even for an F1 driver. But I don't remember Schumi, Kimi, or lately Alonso (40) having a mid-life crisis, acting like a drama queen, forcing the whole grid to kneel and wear the same things he wore as if they were all one culture, and now protesting because he can't race bedecked in gold like a pimp.

Sorry, don't mean to be controversial or offensive, I sort of love Lewis, but I feel that in recent years he has missed the mark and he has not done any favours to himself or F1.

I've asked already, not sure if I got an answer: has there ever been a rule against wearing wedding bands (in the old times) or jewellery (now) because of safety reasons? Thanks!

I always believed you shouldn't wear any jewellery back in the day. I know Jacques Villeneuve talked about it and why you should take it off during the race. I am not sure about wedding rings, as far as I believed it was all banned, but I don't know when that changed. Sorry not to be more help.
