KERS was critical in Maldonado's defense against Alonso on Sunday.
But I agree with the dangers, I'm surprised it is as dangerous as it is. I mean, it has been 3 years since it was introduced and yet the control and handling of a highly charged electrical device is still not fully understood.

Nah just stick it in your pocket or next to you head instead, much safer.
(KERS is based on the same battery technology that powers your mobile phone, iirc.)

That's nothing knew to what we heard during the race. The Grosjean incident was Grosjean's doing, but nothing more than close racing and a feisty overtake.
well, it's the first time I see something of the race. I guess you might have heard it indeed during coverage, but man, what a moaner. I didn't have any idea it was so bad. Calling someone else a 'backmarker' and saying things like changing lines after what he did in Monza last year ...

I think that i am the only one who also thinks Senna made a mistake too.
Brian Redman: "Mr. Fangio, how do you come so fast?" "More throttle, less brakes...."
I wouldn't call it a mistake, but he didn't exactly help the situation either wondering all over the road.
You know what we're always saying at V8 about staying on your line and letting the faster car find it's way past, that's what Senna should have done, instead he tried to anticipate where Schumacher was going and ended up wondering over the track instead of staying in a consistent place, he even admitted doing that in the BBC interview - mistake? maybe, inexperience - definitely. He really doesn't seem to share his uncles talent for quick learning.

Just as I'd forgotten those cars...
Besides the ugly stepped noses they weren't too bad for racing.
I still marvel at this race. How was Williams able to be so fast on this day and hardly any others for years before and years after?
How was Pastor Maldonado able to keep it on the road without a crash?
Also forgot how good the Sauber was that year. Kobiashi was the man at the time! (I used to call him HotDogs as he shares a name with the Hot Dog eating champ.)
