Ложь, сказанная достаточно часто, становится правдой. This is now the eighth year for the Russian GP at Sochi. Has this track lived up to it's promise? In Putin's eyes, yes because it has brought glory to his nation and cemented his spot as a world influence. So great success. As some famous Russian once said: Достаточно часто сказанная ложь становится правдой!

Regardless of how I feel about this track (I hate it), the GP weekend is coming up. And that means we need to think about who will be fastest and what kind of time these cars can set around the track. The Mercedes will be favored, but Mazespin will be the fan's choice.

Having seen the weather, it looks like it could well be wet, so I've put in a wet time. If it's dry, I'm going to be miles out!!

Yet another lottery qualifying. If it rains a lot, they might even decide to postpone quali until sunday, although it seems to also be a rainy day.

Well it seems this year it is pretty certain. Pictures and reports are saying it is already wet and the paddock is flooded... it even looks like the track is partially under water. with rain everyday the forecast, except for the possibility that Friday will not be wet all day.. Saturday it is expected to be wet all day and the worst weather for the weekend. with a minimum of 75mm falling.

Well, my guess is the slowest one by quite some margin. I think I'll be totally out of contention for accuracy this season.
