Announcements of any new features or alternations to the forum will be posted here. This is the place to submit any problems you have or suggestions on how to improve the forum.
I saw this thread a few weeks ago, having totally forgotten I created it so my first reaction was "What the hell do we need a Discord for?"
I realised the ONLY reason was in case the forum had some kind of downtime.
Anyway, rest assured if this forum goes down, I have not shut it down unexpectedly. If some kind of attack takes us out completely or the host goes out of business....well, I should have some backups and we will pop up online again within a week or two. That's absolute worst case scenario.

@Starling.... sorry if I confused you with the word archive.... im not that computer savvy, so excuse my ignorance.
My meaning when I said archived is more that all forum content (other than the exceptions Cheeveer mentioned) is saved and searchable for future reference and is not deleted, where my understanding of Discord from other comments is that it disappears after a set time and is not saved.
No worries, it's the language barrier for me. But just to clarify, when the F1 season starts, we can chat about the race in the chat below the forum, but that chat is not archived?

we never archive any threads or so. Everything that is being said in the race threads will remain there (except for offtopic spam and other uncivil behaviour of course).
As I said to @Everso Biggyballies , is the race chat archived too? I don't think so, because I've not found anything like that in the forum.

No, i don't think it is archived. But we chat about each race in the normal topics. And doing that for years.

@Starling We dont always name the GP threads "Bahrain GP thread" or anything that simple..... we generally give them an alternative name with an attempt at humour. But you will know it is the GP thread,
They usually appear a few days before any GP and often have general info as background, pre race news related to the race and then the actual practice sessions...../ plus being the crowd we are here, often will include less race relevant info as well such as info pertaining to Genghis Khan / Mongols invading the area!
Having said that the opening thread in the last race linked above is reasonably normal track, tyre info etc.... and omitted any news of Mongol invasions!

One never knows what Putin is up to these days...
It’s imperative that we are prepared for an eventual attack on TFL’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. What What stock of weaponry do we have available?
