Bottom post of the previous page:

We can try, but I hope that won't grow in international scandal.

Despite we and Italy are more or less on good terms.

Here are (finally) the videos of the crashes I've found:
https://mega.nz/#!lzhiWQSA!bnITlNfJ1hec ... er1suA8T9c

About the 2001-2010 fatalities... I still don't know.
I'd really like to give you access to my account, but I'll tell you that the search function is not too easy to understand at first.
An "entry" can have more "reels" in it, and they can contain very different things.
Very few of them are also mislabelled, too.

Thanks!

I'll tell you if I will be ready to INA account some time later.

About 1987 accident - that's not Eric Lombard crash as Ronde de la Durance and Ronde Leuquoise are different rallies and held in different locations. I'll try to find name of driver who was killed at Leuquoise.

As for 2001-2010 fatalities - we could save them for later searches. I more interested in "ghost drivers" from Pilotos Muertos lists. I unsuccessfully searched any information about them for 4 years, but still have almost nothing.

Oh well. At least it's still an "obscure" fatality.

I understand.
Also... I forgot to send you the 1992 Dunkerque accident.
Actually, I still haven't downloaded it...

About 1987 Ronde Leuquoise accident: I understood that car was Alpine Berlinette and presumably his surname was Laurent/Loran (or maybe not).

Yep, I need your help with these accidents (date of news reports in brackets):
Ronde Leuquoise (21.04.1987): name of driver if it available (seg-85).
Thierry Carli (17.04.1989): date and details of accident (V1, seg-59 to seg-62).
Christian Saffa (07.10.1990): details of accident, fate of co-driver Frederic Froment (V1, seg-5 to seg-15).
Christian Vandelle & Yves Manni (31.03.1996): details of accident (V2, seg-60-61, V1, seg-104 to seg-107).

Thanks.

Ronde Leuquoise (21.04.1987): name of driver if it available (seg-85).
His name is not mentioned, only that he was a member of the "Club Lorraine des Berlinettes Alpines"

Thierry Carli (17.04.1989): date and details of accident (V1, seg-59 to seg-62).
It was (at the time the broadcast was recorded) unclear what exactly caused the car to leave the track. ("Erreur de note, erreur de pilotage of défiance mechanique: On ne sait pas pour l'instance ce qui a causé la sortie de la 205 GTI de l'équipage Corse")

The pilot, Louis-Jacques Cabianca (probably him: https://www.ewrc-results.com/profile/30 ... asabianca/), 21 years old, suffered "only" a broken arm. During the 5th special stage, the car slid off the track ("a dérapé") at the exit of a corner and crashed sideways into a tree on the right side of the track.
The medical teams arrived at the scene only 8 minutes after the accident, Carli, 26 years old, died instantly. ("[...] était sur le lieu huit minutes aprés et il a été tué sur le coup")

Christian Saffa (07.10.1990): details of accident, fate of co-driver Frederic Froment (V1, seg-5 to seg-15).
So the witness describes the accident as followed: The car went up the embankment, went up in the air and flew for about 20 - 25 metres. It flipped for to five times and came to rest in the field.

Official narration: The accident happend at 11.30 a.m., during the 7th stage. The stage was running for more than half an hour already. The first inquiry came to the conclusion that the the door of the car was opened due to the force of the accident and Saffa was crushed by the car. He died instantly. Since the accident happened on a straight line, cars (not specifically his car) were going over 135km/h.
Saffa was from Margny-lès-Compiègne.
The last part is a bit cut off. So no name is mentioned. But the news moderator talks of a man who was almost uninjured and admitted to the Amiens hospital

According to the news report, Saffa the 2nd victim of the Rally de Picardie, the first being Pascal Thomasse. Motorsportmemorial says that it was Thomasse's co driver- Patrick Maine, who died in the accident.
http://motorsportmemorial.org/focus.php?db=ct&n=8750

Christian Vandelle & Yves Manni (31.03.1996): details of accident (V2, seg-60-61, V1, seg-104 to seg-107).
The car left the road at the entry to a village (Cormoyeux) and crashed into the wall of a house with full force. Pilot and co-pilot were killed instantly.

There's another news report, if you want it (but without images).
If you want another fragment of any of those videos, let me know.

Yes, please. Maybe we could find name of unfortunate driver.
I have only 3 "ghost drivers" who died in 1987 - Marc Danesi/Danezi, Jean-Louis Hardy and Claude Perrier. First of them died in late 1987 after ending of Coupe de'l Avenir (French sportscar series) season so he can be ruled out.

And kinda surprised with Saffa's accident as just yesterday I found similar fatality in 1985 in Sweden: co-driver Inge Jansson was killed at Snäsvängen rally, when he fell out from car after it left the road and was crushed by it.

I added several other deceased drivers, who were mentioned in Pilotos Muertos blogspot and who can be killed while racing, including Frenchmen who died in 1992; I have strong feeling that two of them can be drivers who were killed in May 1992 during Rallye de Dunkerque in one of nastiest racing accidents that I found:

No MM.org entry. I'll try to found some information, at least, names of unfortunate crew.
I've found some reports on the accident, in the INA website, of course.
Their names should be "Laurent Thilliez" and "Georges Boulanger". I don't know who is what (driver/co-driver).
The names were written in the information box in the INA website.

EDIT: This website:
https://sites.google.com/site/bilsporth ... -1999/1992
Says one of the men was named "Bollengier". I don't know which is right.

And here are some screenshots.
They wouldn't be watermarked, had I done them a year ago.

They also say it was the driver's first rally event.

I'd really like to give you access to INA's archive (basically all the French TVs ever broadcasted, including news reports, races, programmes, etc.), but I fear they might see different IPs associated to my account.
Right, here are the videos:

https://mega.nz/#!sqYTSIDB!tEdmszYSWpxi ... TSe5EsbXqg

Maybe I've already said that, but the journalist said, in the first video, "Aujourd'hui" (today), and the date was 16/05/1992.

Sorry for the enormous delay. I've been really lazy these months...

I'm still thinking about access to INA archives but I'm afraid that I wouldn't be free until Saturday. I need to finish scientific work which is part of my graduation work and moreover, I need to make list of my fellow students who will be awarded at graduation ceremony.
