Unfortunately, I didn't find any of "ghost" drivers which I mentioned and that's quite sad. Now my only hope with finding info about them is searching for someone who had Echappement magazines.

Well, at least we've found that obscure Ronde Leuquoise fatality.

Yes, and I've found some more obscure accidents which I'll send to you (with links to INA) later. I didn't publish these photos there as now.

And one more:
Gilbert Richard, 1992 Paris - Moscow - Beijing:
Image

Image
http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... =ct&n=7560

MM.org has some incorrect and incomplete things in his entry, so that's some information from AMS Magazine, issue #1 of 1993:
Этап 3. Саратов — Уральск
...
Из-за масляного пятна на дороге перевернулся грузовик технического обслуживания «Татра». Одного из членов экипажа Жильбера Ришара на самолете в тяжелом состоянии отправили в Париж. 8 сентября он скончался в местном госпитале.
Stage 3. Saratov - Uralsk.
...
Due to oil slick on road Tatra assistance truck overturned. One of crew members Gilbert Richard was airlifted in heavy condition in Paris. He died on 8 September in local hospital.

So it means that accident happened on 7 September and Richard died in Paris hospital on next day.

5) Jean-Pierre Coulbault, 1976 Course de Côte de Neuvy-le-Roi

Update: and one more, but it kinda unclear to me: Marc Duquesne, 1999 Albi:

One of these accident which happened during start of race but I don't know which one belongs to Duquesne.

http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... ct&n=12624

He spun and crashed into tyre wall, so #1 maybe not him. However, car involved in accident #2 and #3 didn't seem to crash into wall at all (while Duquesne's Megane crashed but impact wasn't huge), but maybe that's simply due to angle of camera.

Ok.
But I don't know when I'll download them: it's a time-consuming process.

And one more fatality from INA archives: unnamed competitor during 1993 Rallye de Besançon:

Also, I found mention of double fatality during 1990 Raid des Baroudeurs: two competitors from Ille-et-Vilaine were killed during stage in Spain when their Citroen 2CV crashed into truck. I'll try to find names to these currently unnamed fatalities.

@hollie3sa

Need your help with translation from French. During my searches throught INA archives I found one more fatality - during 1992 Rallye Fayence (presumably Rallye du Pays de Fayence: https://www.ewrc-results.com/events/471 ... e-fayence/) held in October rally driver was killed and his co-driver was seriously injured when their car left the road and crashed. Video didn't contain any footage and accident was described only by news anchor. I managed to record her words, so if you're not busy, I hope you can translate whole audio:

What's "sapis" in English? I hope that's the correct transcription.

Mentioned here is the winner-duo Charreton/Hernoux. Probably Pierre Charreton
https://www.rallye-sport.fr/wp-content/ ... lement.pdf

Will get to the rest later.

It's "Zapis" actually. It means "record".

Winning co-driver was presumably Valérie Hernoux: https://www.ewrc-results.com/coprofile/ ... e-hernoux/ . She actually participated in Rallye Fayence in 1985 and were active in some Brignoles rallies. Charreton also participated in same region.

They say that the 7th edition of the Rallye Régional de Fayence was won "this afternoon" by the Renault 11, driven by the team Charreton/Hernoux. It was a victory dedicated to the driver who died "yesterday" after he left the track ("lors d'une sortie de route"). His co-pilot who's severely burned ("gravement brûlé") is out of danger ("hors de danger").

The two names mentioned afterwards - Jean Bernard Vitiello + Jacques Carlhier/Carhier/Carrier - are reporters from the broadcaster that investigated about the security measures etc. ("sont revenus sur le circumstances de cet accident, se sont intéressé aux modalités sécurité...")
