Bottom post of the previous page:

It's not very phone friendly (but that will come) but it's by far the best implementation of this version I've experienced so far, makes you wonder just what other sites are doing wrong...
I am very sorry if you find my posts long and boring, I like to type and often go off on a tangent.
If this is the case, you may click here to solve the problem, or alternatively here too.

Looks tidy !
One thing though that happens with the new look exclusively on this website is that my firefox frequently hangs itself up with it. It then asks whether I would wait or if I would want to stop the site. This does not happen on other sites or forums I usually visit.
Also it is a bit odd when trying to type in some text only to find the browser having stopped working and your text suddenly pops up minutes later. With longer texts over and over.

Other than that, I really like the new look

Looks great, though the orange is a bit unusual right now. I keep thinking I'm on another side :) Usernames on the right feels odd too.

Give it a week or so and it'll be fine.

Oh no! Does anyone else use Firefox and have this problem? I'd say to try a few things Andy:

1. Try browsing in Internet Explorer or an alternative browser to test;
2. Change your theme to prosilver or subSilver and tell me if you get the same issue in Firefox?

How do you mean?
Tom wrote: 7 years ago I'm with @Ian-S here and the movement of the usernames to the right and loss of the old theme isn't sitting well with my stuck-in-a-rut nothing-shall-ever-change attitude.

Still, you pay the bills and have the skills to run the place, so if the boss says this is how it'll be then this is how it'll be.
No-nooo that's not the case at all. There are plenty of people who have been here since 2003/4 who would want things to remain as they are. 20 people were still using the old subsilver theme as of yesterday - the design we'd had since 2003. So for people who fear change, I'll be moving the profile boxes over to the left in the new subsilver a little later on  EDIT: Scratch that, it's simply not possible. I will have to wait for the theme designer to change it, there are too many variables.

That's alright! Like I said above, I tried and it didn't look right :| The profile box ended up way too wide and I couldn't fix it.

Anyway, for the really old fuddy-duddies, I have installed another theme called 'Legacy'. Unfortunately none of the extensions (like mChat) are compatible with it, but it is 100% identical to old versions of subsilver. So go for that if you want the full 2005 experience.

@PTRacerOther sites that have moved to 3.2 are just messy layout wise, this looks and feels nice and neat.

Thanks :) Probably because I modified the CSS before deploying the upgrade. I found the original wasn't spaced out very well and the font sizes were big and ugly: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/styl ... e/demo/3.2

I was looking for the old 'like' button but could not find..... then I read that is isnt available at least for the time being. No worries, I just posted that I liked the previous post rather than clicking a button. We will adapt.

Firefox v53 user here, no issues. The old software was prone to slow the browser down a tat but the new one is very quick and responsive.

I like it, no particular issues for me. Just can't find the "mark all forums read" button.

EDIT: found it, just had to be on the main forum page for it to show up.
