I submit for your consideration the Ford Ham Special 1949 Cadillac/Lincoln/Surplus Airplane Canopy entered in the 1953 Carrera Panamericana by Jose Ham Gunam. DQ for not finishing in the allotted time.

Good. Lord.

That's horrible on so many levels.

Good debut post, and it certainly qualifies for the ugly, not to mention unusual.

Curiosity piqued, I discovered that the Ford-Ham Special was made in Campeche, Mexico by Jose Ham Gunam and entered the race in 1953 but as mentioned, unfortunately did not finish.

Based upon a 1949 Cadillac with a 1948 Lincoln Continental grill grafted onto the front. The canopy is described as coming from a WWII aircraft!! (Further research refers to it as apparently a North American Aviation T-6 Texan trainer aircraft ....also known as the Harvard)
It gets worse when you see its other angles! Yes really.

They even made a model car of it....

Edit.... Maybe the canopy is actually from a Vultee BT-13 Valiant Trainer....

How about this one, not so much for what it looks like (an ok dirt track racer) but for what it was. This is 250 Testa Rossa Pontoon Fender Scaglietti Spyder s/n 0758TR
