GTP 2024 Round 4 - Japan [+RESULTS]
No, it's not October already. Your eyes do not deceive, for it has been decreed that the Japanese GP will be in April this year.
It's been a long time since we've had a springtime Japanese GP and that was before Suzuka Circuit and before it was an FIA championship race.
So the weather and the conditions are partially unknowns going in this year (PM showers are currently predicted for Saturday!).
What is known is that the Ferrari has come good and seems to be close to the RB. At least close enough that if Max commits any errors, Carlos and Charles will be there to capitalize! So will it mean that Max has the pole in the bag already? Maybe not! Put on your thinking caps and have a go at the possible pole times!
Again, get your guess in before late Thursday night!!
--------------------------------------------------
Round 4 - Formula 1 MSC Cruises Japanese Grand Prix 2024, Suzuka International Racing Course - 5-7 April
Track Length: 5.807 Km (3.608 Miles)
Race Laps: 53 (307.471 Km)
2023 Pole time: Max Verstappen (RedBull) 1:28.877
The deadline for the deadliest entries is before the start of Friday First Free Practice Remember we are on Japan time (Friday 02:30 GMT / 03:30 BST) that's Thursday very late or Friday very early!
Put your guess in the thread below!

From what I can tell online, the BST and the GMT have diverged. Correct? When did Summer time start?

That's correct. March 31
Europeans had to move clock 1 hr forward.
- from this: D/T 2024-04-01 09:26 (CET)
- to this: D/T 2024-04-01 10:26 (CEST) - Central European Summer Time
Hopefully they will agree stop doing that, and we will stay just on one time scale permanently. Problem is some people like it as it is. Need for 100% voting agreement has to be dropped, otherwise nothing will ever happen. Substantial majority should suffice, and we will move on.

You are, as others have stated correct, we're now on BST (British Stupid Time) it will remain that way until the end of October. By the Mexico race day on Sunday we will be back on GMT, but for Friday (the deadline for GTP) we won't. So anything after Mexico is GMT as far as this game is concerned if that helps
