Picks & Mix Game 2024. Round 1 Bahrain [+ RESULTS]

Well it's two weeks today to the first race of the season, so I'm giving you plenty of time to get your thinking caps on and make your first predictions of the year. Below are the rules and of course, the all important things you need to make your selections for. Thanks to all who agreed to play already


Below are the five main predictions that will run every race. There will also be a chance to gain bonus points and that selection will change each race. All the teams will feature in some way or another at some point in the bonus feature. The first bonus round is a big one, so make sure you enter that one as potentially a lot of points are up for grabs.

All picks need to be in before the start of FP1. Remember, the first two races are on a Saturday, so FP1 is on Thursday, not Friday.


1. Who will start the race from 13th place on the grid? Guess correctly and you score 10 points, if your pick starts in either 12th or 14th, you score 5 points. Remember, it's not who qualifies 13th but who starts from 13th after all grid penalties and so on have been handed out.

2. Who will be the last driver on the starting grid? (pit lane starts don't count) 10 points for the correct driver.

3. Which driver will get the fastest lap? 10 points for the correct driver.

4. Who will be the first pointless driver? In other words, who will finish the race in 11th place? 10 points for the correct driver, 5 points if your driver finishes 10th or 12th.

5. How many cars will DNF? 10 points if you are correct.


Special bonus points for round 1 only.

Bonus: Name all three drivers who will finish on the podium.
10 points if your driver is there and in the correct position, 5 points if they are on the podium but in the wrong position. If they finish off the podium, too bad. Get all three drivers in their correct positions and you'll gain an extra 20 points, taking your total on this bonus to 50 points. Get all three drivers on the podium but in the wrong order and you gain an extra 10 points, so 25 points in total.
Edit on scoring for this bonus: If you get one driver in the correct place and two others but in the wrong place there will be an extra 15 points taking your total to 35 points.

Is it really only two weeks away? Im rally enjoying the break and not ready for it to end. But all good things come to an end as they say.
Best I have a look and see whats involved here in the game. Im a bit busy with proper motor racing atm, following a couple of mates racing in NZ this weekend, plus of course I am a bit absorbed in the Bathurst 12 hour race which starts at 5:30 tomorrow (Sunday) morning and will have me glued to the TV for 12 hours.

Yeah, I did consider doing who would start the race from 19th, but I figured there are likely to be plenty of incidents or penalties that would lead to someone other than Sargeant always being the last car. I'll see how it goes for a few races, I can amend it later on if it doesn't work.

Yep, two weeks today is race day Saturday 2nd March. I am with you, it's been nice to have a break from the racing, but it will be on us before we know it again. Enjoy your Bathurst 12 hour, my friend in Tasmania is talking about getting up early to watch it too. I hope your friends in NZ do well also.
