The very same Iwasa from F2. He finished 9th on his debut.

Tomoki Nojiri won the race ahead of Kenta Yamashita and the returning Naoki Yamamoto (who was sidelined since the huge Super GT crash at Sugo last year).

Theo Pourchaire had a total disaster weekend. Only 16th in quals, he went off during the race and had to change the front wing and promptly finished dead last 18th even behind Juju Noda (who finished ca. 15 secs. off the previous car but she somehow didn't have the slowest fastest lap hehe).

First F3 race is currently running at Albert Park in support of the AGP. 15 laps in of the scheduled 20 lapsand we have a Safety Car. It will restart next lap I believe.

The F2 Sprint is on at just after 2pm AEDT, that is straight after the F1 cars have their FP3. and before the F1 guys come out for qualifying.

The F2 race started and didnt get as far as far as T1 before we had a bit of contact and cars in the pit wall at the exit onto the track... SC deployed . Marti out of the race after getting a briliant start from 4th and getting in to the slow starters. We then had more contact later in the lap as the SC was deployed.

Hadjar Stanek Aron Maloney Maini and Antonelli will lead the restart away when it happens.

Lap 6 and we are getting a restart at the start of 7.

Good restart from Hadjar.

Hopefully that gets the seemingly obligatory SC we always get in F2 sprints.

Lap 11 and Antonelli making a move round the outside got turned into the gravel. Went from almost getting 3rd to That will bring out another SC.
Looking ar replays and I dont think Antonelli had contact and did it on his own just on the marbles. The car he was passing did also spin hence why I thought it was contact.

Martins who started rear of grid and Bearman who started 15th were both storming through the field and when this SC was deployed were up to 8th and 9th respectively.

Hadjar will be pissed.... he had a lead of over 4.5 seconds now lost due to the SC

End of lap 14 and we are getting a restart. Will Hadjar bolt again? He went early last restart so will he try it again? Yes he does and it works again..... he gets out of DRS by T3 and with those following in a group he will be able to clear off as they hold each other up.

Brilliant move further back for Martins to take 7th.

Great battle for 3rd and 4th between Maini and Hauger,

Great move from Hauger round the outside into T9 gets him into {P3. Final lap comes up .... Hadjar will win as he has a 6 second lead

Hadjar gets the win from Stanek Hauger Maini Colopino, Miyata Martins and Bearman in the points .....10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points respectively

Hadjar was given a 10 secs penalty for causing that start collision and dropped to 6th. Stanek inherits the win.

Bearman was also given a 10 secs penalty for forcing Durksen off the track and dropped to 14th. So he is still pointless this season.

F2 feature race up next at Albert Park.

Hopefully they can make more than 50 metres today before the SCgets deployed.

Hauger starting from pole. Antonelli starting 2nd and Verschoor 3rd.

Antonelli needs to get through a race without mistakes today if he is to keep the hype surrounding him going sour. He is already raising doubts in my mind that a single season in F2 is going to be enough to be F1 ready. He needs to pull his socks up..

Didnt last long as Hauger DRS'd back to the lead.

Martins has gone from 21st on the grid to 12th by the start of lap 3.

Hauger out of DRS range. but only just. Antonelli cant let him go and needs to get back within DRS .

Stanek managed to spin or get pushed back earlier in the race. He is showing 21 now.
