Jeddah, Miami, Lusail, Yas Marina. Just not a fan of these tracks and the races they've provided.

Singapore, Qatar, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi.
It's a terrible end to the season.
But you could swap Miami for Las Vegas. They're interchangeable in my mind.

Shanghai, Miami, Lusail, Abu Dhabi.
Shanghai has never really put up a thriller and the grandstands are filled with advertising instead of people.
Miami is overhyped and what is a mediocre race seems worse.
Lusail is just unnecessary. We needed another track during COVID, we don't now.
Abu Dhabi has always been dull (without last 5 laps safety car shakeups)

Jeddah, Shanghai, Las Vegas and Lusail for me. Though I could have added others quite easily.

Im struggling to cut the list of those I would like to cull down to four! I would rather cull six and get back to a more sensible number of races. An extra two next year IIRC, given we had 22 this year and next year Imola will be back and Shanghai also returns.
With the season next year being 41 weeks long and consisting of 24 races that is a race every 11 point something days. In fact thats a bit less than that (will be race every 10.7 days) because they have a month off in the middle which I should have taken out.

I will be cutting list to 18 races only. It is an arbitrary number, but it did work for me in the past. Much will also depends on a score sheet profile in Sep 2024.
24 races - all what I have to say that's 6 too many for me. Not because I get bored, but because I need to take control how I live.

I'm with you, it's insane. All the races are so close together now they tend to bleed into one. A double header is bad enough but the triple headers.....Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑5 months ago Im struggling to cut the list of those I would like to cull down to four! I know things happen, but I can no longer recall which race it was as there are just too many of them and too tightly packed. F1 used to be an event, something to look forward to, but now it's got to the point where I find myself thinking, 'oh no, it's another race weekend'. I don't want to feel that way about it, but I can't help it. You can have too much of a good thing and as far as I'm concerned, we currently have it!!

The season was long, and people will divert their attention to family celebrations as we closing on the year-end. This simple poll needs to be put behind us as well. There will be enough time to complain when new season kicks in. Firstly I thank all who took time to put down their thoughts on the subject. Twelve members voted.
In summary:
10 tracks escaped without a scratch. The others collected negative votes from 1 up to 9.
Middle East got rejected most. There is no other way to look at it. I don't think this reflects upon people living there, just that topography of racing tracks are being judged as not well suited for GP racing, as some others are. I am not a mind reader, but that's how I am interpreting poll result.
Top 4 track voted unfavorably:
- [9 votes] Yas Marina
- [8] Lusail, Jeddah (equal rejection)
- [7] Miami
Race at Shanghai (home of Zhou Guanyu) collected 4 votes, and the same Las Vegas, also 4. Regarding LV, clearly it is imposition on locals, and racing at midnight is just terrible idea.
My mistake not to take this a step further, and ask whether any of those tracks can change something and move to better acceptance.
Light hearted conclusion:
- We are hard to please lot.
- It seems more seasoned observers of the sport prefer natural terrain with sweeping turns over city blocks, or turns which make brakes turning tomato red. I have to be careful here, Montreal has also two places at which drivers slow down from 330 [km/hr] to 80 or 90 respectively, yet no one complains. That could be due to good racing sectors elsewhere on this track. That's something racing in desert is lacking.
As stated earlier, I am yet to decide on my final list which races I will omit on my personal calendar, but what is certain, I am not watch all races, despite my affinity to this (former) sport.
It was interesting. Thanks again.
