The deadline for entries is before the start of
Friday First Free Practice (Friday
11:30 GMT/11:30 BST)
Just noticed this, you can't have 11:30 GMT and 11:30 BST.
As it goes, BST doesn't start until the end of March, so you only need BST once we get to the Australian GP. and onwards, if that helps
But I found out today while I was sorting out the Bahrain timetable for the preview (yes I am doing one hope to have it posted tomorrow) that at the moment UTC and GMT are the same time. ie ±0
Here I am thinking that BST standands for Brittish Standard Time. Is the S really Summer?
It sure is, BST is British Summer Time, or as many of us call it, British Stupid Time
Indeed....The period when the clocks are 1 hour ahead is called British Summer Time (BST). There's more daylight in the evenings and less in the mornings (sometimes called Daylight Saving Time). When the clocks go back, the UK is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
In the UK the clocks go forward 1 hour at 1am on the last Sunday in March, and back 1 hour at 2am on the last Sunday in October.
It takes an Aussie to tell you Poms how to tell the time.
Spain does it the same weekend this year. I know because I usually have to remind my Mother.
To make it confusing for all, this year in Melbourne the clocks change (go back an hour) at 3:00 am on the Sunday of the AGP weekend.
ie Practice and qualy will be held during Daylight Saving Time (or
Aus. Eastern Daylight Saving Time as it is officially called).....
but the race is not. Its held in Australian Eastern
Daylight Time. No Saving.
