At the age of 68, Ken Schrader becomes the first Non Canadian to win in the NASCAR Pinty's series.

He also becomes the oldest winner in the series, which became NASCAR sanctioned in 2007.

NASCAR Driver Jason White Arrested on Charges of Driving While Impaired


Jason White, a part-time driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, was arrested by the Huntersville Police Department on August 3rd on charges of Driving While Impaired (DWI)

Other facts probably not essential reading but....:

In the state of North Carolina, there are five different levels of misdemeanor DWI, according to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, ranging from Level V to Level I and providing a vast range of potential penalties.

The least severe level, a Level V, is punishable by a fine of up to $200 and a jail sentence of 24 hours to 60 days, whereas the most severe level, Level I, is punishable by a fine of up to $4,000 and a jail sentence ranging from 30 days to two years.

At the time of publishing, the North Carolina Judicial Branch has scheduled a court appearance for the 44-year-old on September 6, where a judge will deliberate on charges of Speeding, Reckless Driving to Endanger, and Exceeding Safe Speed, along with the aforementioned charge of Driving While Impaired.

Rumor Mill:

Stewart-Haas Racing is looking to downsize, selling 1, possibly 2 charters.
23XI Racing is considering a bombshell move to Ford, as contract negotiations with Toyota have stalled.
23XI Racing are also looking to expand, potentially with Zane Smith in a third full time car.
Toyota want John Hunter Nemechek in the #42 car next season, although that could change if Hamlin leaves JGR.
Denny Hamlin may have to leave Joe Gibbs Racing if 23XI moves to Ford.
