Bottom post of the previous page:

Harvick DSQ'd from 'Dega.

Post race it seems Harvick failed post race checks with a 'windshield violation' lwhich resulted in aTalladega DSQ from 2nd.

It seems the windshield fasteners must be secure, and were not throughout the entire event. Harvick's fasteners were not secure. The violation falls under two sections of the NASCAR Rule Book: 14.5.6.2.F (windshield) and 14.1.E&P (overall assembled vehicle rules).

Harvick crossed the finish line second by 0.012s to Ryan Blaney in a photo finish.

Due to the disqualification, Harvick will be credited with a 38th-place finish (last) and one point. He does not get credit for finishing eighth in the second stage or the points awarded for the effort.

No right to appeal. Its done and dusted

All of the other cars passed post-race inspection. However, NASCAR is taking four cars to its Research and Development Center in Concord, N.C., to check engines from all of the Cup Series engine builders. Those going to the R&D Center’s engine dynamometer are the No. 24 (Hendrick Engines); the No. 11 (TRD); the No. 31 (ECR); and the No. 41 (Roush Yates Engines).

NASCAR passed out (or pussed out if this case) penalties for the Crafton/Sanchez brawl. Fines only; no suspension, no probation, no docked points.

(But hey, Sanchez's dad got suspended, so that'll show 'em!)

In other words, Homestead may be a bloodbath if they don't smarten up before then. Stay tuned....

Kyle Larson becomes the first driver to lock himself in to this years championship 4 by winning at Las Vegas. Ryan Blaney was DQed from his 6th place finish after the left front shock on his car was found to not meet the minimum length. This leaves him 56 points below the cutline and in need of a win to advance.

And now he's been un-DQ'd because NASCAR's template was wrong. This leaves Blaney only 17 points behind the cutline.

"I’ve had drivers drive for me before but nobody as stupid as Sheldon Creed, You don’t do that as a team player. What else do you want me to tell you? " - Richard Childress after the Xfinity series finish at Martinsville. Creed is leaving RCR at the end of the season and its safe to say there's some bad blood there.

Someone at RCR should've been on the radio to Hill telling him to just focus on holding off Allgaier, as Hill would've made the championship four on points then, while Creed would've made it by winning.

Just can't believe Creed still failed to win that one though, lol. Thought this time he'd win it for sure. Maybe at JGR.

Ryan Blaney will make his first championship 4 appearance after scoring the win at Martinsville. William Byron also progresses on points, leaving Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr, Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher as the drivers who are eliminated.

Kyle Larson is this years oldest driver in the championship 4, at just 31 years old.

No driver in the championship 4 drove in NASCAR during the 2000s, and none drove a Cup race in the COT era (2008-2012), with Larson making his first Cup start in 2013, Blaney in 2014, Byron in 2018 and Bell in 2020.

Do you feel old yet?
