Harvick DSQ'd from 'Dega.Post race it seems Harvick failed post race checks with a 'windshield violation' lwhich resulted in aTalladega DSQ from 2nd.
It seems the windshield fasteners must be secure, and were not throughout the entire event. Harvick's fasteners were not secure. The violation falls under two sections of the NASCAR Rule Book: 14.5.6.2.F (windshield) and 14.1.E&P (overall assembled vehicle rules).
Harvick crossed the finish line second by 0.012s to Ryan Blaney in a photo finish.
Due to the disqualification, Harvick will be credited with a 38th-place finish (last) and one point. He does not get credit for finishing eighth in the second stage or the points awarded for the effort.
No right to appeal. Its done and dusted
All of the other cars passed post-race inspection. However, NASCAR is taking four cars to its Research and Development Center in Concord, N.C., to check engines from all of the Cup Series engine builders. Those going to the R&D Center’s engine dynamometer are the No. 24 (Hendrick Engines); the No. 11 (TRD); the No. 31 (ECR); and the No. 41 (Roush Yates Engines).
